On Tuesday May 13th, 2008 RUSD presented a teacher/student technology showcase. It was a great event with over 500 people in attendance. Students and teachers from all RUSD schools presented how they use technology to teach and learn. Instructional Services had several booths highlighting math, science, English and history social science resources that are available to parents and students. M&O had a great booth showing how they use technology to manage and maintain RUSD Facilities, NIS demonstrated RUSD Connect and what they are doing to make grades available online to parents as well as providing support personnel to make sure everything was working during the event. Riverside Public Library shared the many technology based resources they have available and Ramona’s jazz band provided great music for the event. Unfortunately there was no one there from the press enterprise, but RCOE TV and Arlington’s Digital Academy videotaped the entire event and it will soon be available on Charter cable as well as DVD format through RUSD at http://support.rusdtech.net/student_tech_showcase.htm.I want to thank all of you for your hard work and support in putting this event on and or attending it.
