Listed below you will find the current options available to RUSD sites as well as pricing information and ordering information.  iTree is an acronym for "Instructional Technology Re-enforced Educational Environments" and the equipment listed below is a major piece of this effort. Our end goal from an instructional point of view is to provide each classroom with interactive technology that enhances the way teachers teach and students learn.  There are three separate options offered to sites in pursuit of that goal.  The options are listed in order of preference; we prefer that all sites use option #A for new installations and option #B for completion of an existing iTree classroom installed prior to activboard2.  However, we want to allow sites to choose option #C as an entry point or gateway with the understanding that the long term goal is to fully outfit the classroom using either option #B or mounting the projector in the ceiling in the future as funding is available (estimated costs for ceiling mount is $800-$1200). Sites must continue to take every precaution against theft.

Option A: 

Our ultimate goal is to provide each classroom with the full complement of iTree tools (Mounted Activboard2 with projector, Speakers, activslate, activotes, tablet PC and document camera) the cost of this classroom is $9,812.00 (Price does not include tax or training costs)

Requires Entering Three Separate Requisitions Within the Galaxy System:

Requisition #1 Logical Choice:  Highlighted in Blue in the Table Below

Requisition #2 Gateway:  Highlighted in Pink in the Chart Below

Requisition #3 CCS:  Highlighted in Yellow in the Chart Below

Option B: 

This option is to be used in classrooms where the original iTree equipment was placed prior to the activboard2 equipment, or in cases where the minimum classroom technology was initially purchased (Option #3 below) and will bring the classroom up to date with current equipment.  Cost will vary depending on amount of existing equipment in classroom and will range from $3,280.00-$7,389.00 depending on equipment in existing classroom (Price does not include tax or training costs)

Option C: 

This option is to be used as a gateway or entry point for sites struggling to afford the technology, or for sites that want to equip a grade level or department all at the same time but can’t afford the entire costs in year one.  This option is permitted with the understanding that sites will take every precaution to prevent theft and that sites eventually mount the projectors in the ceiling and or upgrade to option #2.  Total initial cost $3,600.00  (Price does not include tax or training costs)

Ordering Information:

Purchasing has been working to streamline the ordering process for these options and have pre-populated the options listed above into our Galaxy System.  Please follow the directions below to quickly enter the correct information for each option.  Because there are multiple vendors for each of these options there will be corresponding drop down menus as well, so Option A for instance will have three different parts (Option A: 1 of 3, Option A: 2 of 3 and Option A 3 of 3) Please don't hesitate to call if you have questions.

• Prices listed above do not include tax (the galaxy system automatically includes tax if you use the item master, see instructions below)
• The vendor information is listed above next to each item and is also included it in the galaxy internal notes. 
• Make sure that all parts of the option you select are ordered.
• For CCS orders, include $15.00 per document camera for shipping.
• For Audio Visual Innovations orders, include $59.00 per Balt Cart for shipping.

Entering a Galaxy Requisition Using the Item Master

To enter a purchase requisition, go to the following:

• Purchasing System
• Purchase Requisition Management
• Modify Purchase Requisition
• Click “Add”
• In order to select an  iTree bundle package from the item master, you must select either Audio Visual or Technology from the category field
• Complete the remaining blank fields in the Details Tab, except for the “Board Rpt. Desc.” and enter   “Justification” only if it is required for that funding source

·         Click the “Items” tab

·         Click “Add Line”

• A text box to “Add a P.R Line Nbr.” will appear
• Click on the drop down menu beside the ‘Item Name”
• Select an iTree bundle package (remember to select the complete package for the multiple vendors)
• The remaining fields will automatically pre-fill with data related to the item
• Enter a “Quantity” amount
• Click the “Save” tab
• Click on “Add Acct.” to enter SACS account string(s) information
• Notes in the “Notes” tab will automatically pre-fill
• Save and Submit for approvals
